Cyril (wəqwaqʷələq) was born and raised in Leǩʷəŋən territory, which is made up of Songhees Nation and Esquimalt Nation located in what many know as Victoria, B.C.
Cyril enjoys spending time with his family, working out, seeing movies, learning, and is also an Indigenous Entrepreneur.
Cyril currently works for Songhees Nation in Indigenous Tourism with ‘Songhees Tours – Explore Songhees’ delivering, as a Reconciliatory Guide, canoe and walking tours in Leǩʷəŋən territorys’ – Greater Victoria Inner Harbor that explores the ‘Seven Signs of the Leǩʷəŋən’.
Cyril most recently finished working as an Indigenous Outreach/HART-Outreach worker going to homeless encampments helping support encampment residents.
Cyril’s life experience has brought him to sharing the snəpənəq (teachings) of his grandmothers, mother, and nation throughout serving in all his capacities from policing, social work, counseling, facilitating, restorative justice, outreach, entrepreneurship, and Indigenous tourism to name a few.
