d’Art is a recent arrival to Canada having spent most of his working life in Australia leading a not for profit organization and a number of government departments that provide essential services to Indigenous population groups. He is also an entrepreneur having set up and run a number of his own small businesses. d’Art is a great planner and organizer, bringing together people and resources to deliver projects that exceeds the clients’ expectations.
His passion for social justice and equity drives him to help find the creative solutions to the needs of the communities he works with.
Since moving to Canada, d’Art has completed a tourism university course and worked in the vibrant outdoor adventure world of Whistler, BC. He has developed new tourism products for a local First Nation community with his eye helping with serval more.
During is time working with ICLD, he has supported many of BC’s First Nations to secure several million dollars of grant funding to bring targeted training programs to support community goals.
He firmly believes that small business is the mainstay of a community economy and is excited to lend his expertise and share his contacts to make businesses grow.
In his spare time, d’Art is usually found in the mountains somewhere, either running up them or riding his bike down them.
